20-Minute HIIT Circuit

Today, I did an awesome 20-minute HIIT (high intensity interval training) circuit workout! All you need is a timer, exercise stepper (something to do step-ups on), and dumbbells. I did this workout at the end of my cardio workout today. Feel free to add to it. 🙂

I am going to post the time intervals for more beginners and more advanced. Feel free to rest 1-2 minutes in between circuits.

Circuit 1:

  • Toe taps on the stepper for 30 seconds (beginners)/1 minute (advanced)
  • Rest 15 seconds
  • Step-ups with bicep curl for 30 sec/1 min
  • Rest 15 seconds
  • Back or front lunges with dumbbells for 30 sec/ 1 min
  • Rest 15 seconds
  • REPEAT

Circuit 2:

  • Inverted plank on the stepper for 30 sec/1 min
  • Rest 15 seconds
  • Lateral lunges (one foot on the stepper and side lunge) for 15 sec each side/30 sec each side
  • Rest 15 seconds
  • Step-ups for 30 sec /1 min
  • Rest 15 seconds
  • REPEAT

Ab Circuit (no stepper needed):

  • Lying Bicycles for 30 sec/1 min
  • Russian Twists for 30 sec/1 min
  • Rest 20 seconds
  • Plank for 30 sec/1 min
  • Leg raises for 30 sec/1 min
  • REPEAT
